This piece by director Michael Ronen is a satire of the dramatic events and turning points in the history of the building am Festungsgraben 2. Inaugurated in 1827 as the choral association Sing-Akademie zu Berlin, in 1848 it was used by the Prussian National Assembly. After WWII Soviet cultural officers first restructured the building and ever since 1952 it has been known as the Maxim Gorki Theater. At selected historically relevant locations in and around the theatre the audience will be able to access different “capsules”– informative and funny narrations about history created with theatrical means. The mobile app Capsuling was developed by Michael Ronen and will be launched at the Berliner Herbstsalon. www.capsuling.me
