Marina Naprushkina combines two works. In the large-scale wall piece Dead Souls she depicts the borders of the EU and key regulations concerning asylum and migration policies.

Refugees' Library

since 2013, ongoing library-project

Against this background, Naprushkina’s Refugees‘ Library presents an archive of trial reports. The artist has produced graphic recordings of asylum-seekers’ hearings since 2013. Made available also on the internet in various languages by Naprushkina, the resulting booklets function as a source of information for refugees and help them to prepare for their own trails.

Marina Naprushkina, born 1981 in Belarus, lives and works in Berlin. Her works have been shown at the 7th Berlin Biennale (2012), the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw (2014), the NBK, Berlin (2014), and the School of Kyev (2015).
