Tobias Zielony
Works
In the yellow salon of the Palais am Festungsgraben, George Clooney shot a film in 2013 about art looted by the National Socialists during World War II. Opposite on the Schlossplatz, a building has been under construction since 2013 in which another form of looted art will be presented. In his multilayered installation, Zielony explores how art is saved in film, and refugees are saved in life, what German tanks have to do with Hollywood and how Nestlé finances satellites to save refugees.
Tobias Zielony, born 1973 in Wuppertal, lives and works in Berlin. Besides solo exhibitions at the Folkwang Museum Essen (2011) and the Berlinische Galerie (2013) his works were most recently presented in the German Pavilion at the 56th Biennale di Venezia (2015).
